Ready to use blog templates for Shopify
2 min read
Blog templates give you a head start on every post. When you create an article in vevy, you can pick one of 15 article layouts or start from a blank page.
Each layout comes with sample content: headings, text, images and blocks placed for a certain kind of post. You replace the sample content with your own in the editor, so you don't start from an empty page.

The layouts
The layout picker opens under Choose your starting point. It has 15 layouts with sample content, and a Blank option.
The layouts include:
Beauty
Fitness
Home & Garden
Food & Drink
Fashion
Gift guide

Brand story
There are more, 15 in total. Choose the one closest to the post you want to write. You can change any part of it in the editor.
If you want to build the post block by block, choose Blank.
How to start a post from a template
Open vevy from the Apps menu in your Shopify admin.
On the Blogs dashboard, click Create article.
Pick a layout, or choose Blank.
Replace the sample content with your own text, images and products.
Click Publish, or click Schedule to publish the post later.

You can also start from the Templates page. On the Start a post from a template card, click Browse templates. The same layout picker opens.
Replace the sample content
The sample content shows you where things go. You replace it piece by piece.
Click any block in the post to select it.
Change its content in the Block tab on the right, such as the text, image, colors and spacing.
To add more, drag elements from the Elements panel on the left into the post.

Add products where they fit the story. For example, drag a Product Card under the paragraph that talks about the product.
The Templates page
Go to Templates in the vevy menu to manage the design of your articles and blog home. The page has four cards.
Customize your article template (Default · your theme): your posts keep your theme's design. Choose which vevy features show on every article, such as the table of contents, author box and social share. Click Customize design to open the template settings. See Template settings.
Blog home page with search (Pro): one page at /blogs/all that lists all your articles, with search and category filters. See Blog home page.
Start a post from a template: pick one of 15 article layouts, or start from a blank page. Click Browse templates.
Request a template: tell the team what custom template you need.
The layout you pick only sets the starting content of one post. The look of all your posts (fonts, colors, spacing and features like the table of contents) comes from your template settings.
Request a template
If none of the layouts fit your brand, you can ask for a custom one.
Go to Templates.
On the Request a template card, click Request a template.
A chat opens. Tell the team what kind of template you need.
