Learn how to add slider - sliding image gallery to a blog post in Shopify with a button and overlay texts

3 min read

vevy.ai lets you add a sliding image gallery — a full-width slider with a title, subtitle, and button on every slide — to your Shopify blog posts as one of the media & marketing elements.

Unlike a static image gallery, each slide can carry its own message and link, so the block works as a mini carousel of offers, looks, or steps.

This works for posts made in Shopify's own blog editor too. For this, you just need to sync the post first on the vevy.ai's dashboard.

Syncing blog posts add them to the vevy.ai's dashboard, so you can add sliders and other blocks with the Blog Builder, even if the post wasn't created in vevy.ai.

  3. Drag the block into your post, right where you want it.

  4. Click the block to open Slider settings in the Block tab on the right.

  5. Choose an Aspect ratio — 16:9 works for most posts.

  6. Set up the first slide: upload a Background image or pick one from your Library, then fill in the Title, Subtitle, Button text, and Button URL (for example, /collections/all).

  7. Click Add slide for each additional slide. Reorder slides with the arrows, or delete one with the trash icon.

  8. Turn Autoplay on or off and set the Autoplay speed.

  9. Click Save draft or Publish.

What you can customize

  • Aspect ratio — widescreen, square, and other ratios

  • Autoplay and speed — advance slides automatically, at the pace you choose

  • Loop slides — restart from the first slide after the last one

  • Navigation — show arrows, dots, both, or neither

  • Per-slide content — background image, title, subtitle, button text, and button URL

  • Alignment and overlay — position the content and darken the image behind it so the text stays readable

  • Content area — show a background panel behind the text and set text, button, and button-text colors
